Dynamic oxygen measuring

From its inception, Nilsson Shipping's charter has been to design, build, sell and service unique products in chosen market segments and to support these products with a world-class sales and service. Our fault-proof low cost continuous oxygen measuring systems measure the concentration of oxygen and temperature in the waste gas of furnaces, if combustion circumstances change, for ex. between summer and winter the oxygen quantity can vary with more than 20% under the influence of changes in temperature with 20Combustion temperatures and O2-content are easily viewed on a LCD display °C, at the same atmospheric pressure (the barometric pressure). With our low cost system its possible to manually adjust the Fuel-Air Ratio so the O2-content in the flue gas is in optimum values. By adding new technology that did not exist when the plant was first erected, we can make it an operationally and financially attractive asset adapted to modern environmental requirements. The panel can be built in pre-built enclosures or purpose built enclosures to customers requirements. Combustion temperatures and O2-content are easily viewed on a LCD display, or analog panel instrument customers choice. Nilsson Shipping offers an extensive aftercare service to all clients and is committed to the development of environmentally friendly products.

Dynamic Oxygen Measuring BenefitsCustomized panels available upon request

Oxygen sensor

MF010-O The TÜV-certified Oxygen sensor range (From a fully accredited ISO 9001 company) Positive certification of its fault-proofness by the Technical Inspectorate (TÜV) of Southern Germany No. A339 in conformity with DIN VDE0116 and EN298. Oxygen sensor for combustion control in re-heat furnaces, boilers and incinerators. This in-situ oxygen sensor measures oxygen concentrations from the combustion gas from furnaces, boilers and incinerators. They are intrinsically safe, generating a very low millivolt output based on the oxygen content of the atmosphere.

In a furnace with 10 MW and 5,000 operating hours per year, the consumption of natural gas is reduced 18,126 m3 per year, the fuel costs (at 2.5 ct per KW) by 4,530 € and the CO2 emissions by 41,743 kg.
The investment will pay already after a few months.
Because some boilers operate with a very high percentage of excess oxygen, it is common for the first year savings to be substantially higher. However, much of that savings can be attributed to a more reasonable manual tuning of the boiler, and not necessarily from the installation of an automatic O2 control system. Well-tuned boilers can expect savings of 5 - 10%.

Density and Specific Weight of Air at Standard Atmospheric Pressure in SI Units;

At -10°C and 101.325 kPa, dry air has a density of ρSTP = 1.342 kg/m3.
At    0°C and 101.325 kPa, dry air has a density of ρSTP = 1.293 kg/m3.
At  15°C and 101.325 kPa, dry air has a density of ρSTP = 1.225 kg/m3.
At  25°C and 101.325 kPa, dry air has a density of ρSTP = 1.184 kg/m3.
